Melinda is a member of the adjunct faculty at the Australian Graduate School of Management specialising in leadership development, team effectiveness, emotional intelligence and change management. She designs and delivers corporate programs and has taught in a variety of global programs including the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth, the Melbourne/Beihang University eMBA and Duke Corporate Education. Melinda has worked with the Melbourne Business School Mt Eliza Centre for Executive Education and also been a member of the Organisational Behaviour faculty of the AGSM. She received the 1999 Alumni Award for Teaching Excellence in recognition of her teaching capabilities and innovations in course design across a range of executive programs and MBA teaching roles. She was Subject Leader in the MBA program and Change Management Qualification as well as Program Director of the Accelerated Development Program for high potential managers, one of the flagship general management programs offered at the AGSM. In addition to her academic roles, Melinda has served as National Director of Business Development and Marketing for Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu where she was responsible for sales and marketing strategy, brand management and developing initiatives to support the firm’s growth programs. During her tenure with Deloitte Melinda was a finalist in the Telstra Businesswoman of the Year Award program and named Best Professional Services Firm Marketer in the 2002 industry survey. Melinda regularly speaks and consults on a variety of organisation development issues with both private and public sector organisations. Her clients include Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Freehills, Macquarie Bank, Minter Ellison, Rabobank and ResMed. She serves on the board of Indigenous Community Volunteers and the Union Club and is a member of the Quest for Life Foundation. She is a member of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society and Past President of the Harvard Club of Australia. Melinda graduated from the University of Cincinatti magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Design and earned her MBA from the Harvard Business School. She was awarded a PhD from the AGSM for research in the field of corporate governance. Her work on boards of directors has been published in Corporate Governance: an International Review and in the European Journal of Business. |
